Direct speech: “In the last 100 years, Russia has invaded at least 19 countries, many of which are represented at this table, some as many as three or four times. None of these 19 countries has ever invaded or attacked Russia.”

Details: Therefore, in any peace agreement regarding Ukraine, the top EU diplomat stressed, one should focus on “how to obtain concessions from the Russian side so that it stops aggression and gets rid of the desire to change borders by force.”

Direct speech: “The European Union will remain on its course, as only greater pressure on Russia and greater support for Ukraine will change the balance and give hope for peace. It is important to reduce Russia’s ability to finance its military machine.”

During his speech at the OSCE ministerial meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky, warned that against the background of the war in Ukraine, Russia is trying to drive a wedge between the two shores of the Atlantic.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski emphasized that modern Russia is more repressive and aggressive than the Soviet Union was in the 1970s.
