“We see that Russia does not seek peace, although it is made a lot of diplomatic efforts to plant Zelensky and Russia at the negotiation table. In this context, since this issue is constantly arising, we will conduct a detailed discussion of frozen assets,” – announced one of the topics of today’s meeting.
She added that “there are some sensitive aspects” about frozen assets of the Russian Federation, but “we really need to have a reasoned discussion about it” to have a “exit strategy” from the situation.
“We cannot even imagine that in the event of a truce or peace agreement, these assets will be returned to Russia if it has not paid reparations,” the EU High Representative said.
As reported by “European Pravda”, the EU can create a fund that will simplify the transfer of almost 200 billion euros of assets of the Russian Federation for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
