Details: Sikorsky rejected the assumption that the Polish air defense was not ready for invasion, given that of the 19 drones that violated the Polish airspace were shot down only three to four.

“The drones did not reach their goals, the minor damage was caused, no one was injured. If it had happened in Ukraine, by Ukrainian standards, it would be 100% success,” the minister said.

He believes that the invasion of Russian drones into the Polish airspace was part of the Kremlin’s strategy from gradual escalation and checking the NATO reaction without the risk of a full -scale response. Sikorsky added that the drones were “idle” and did not carry explosions.

“Interestingly, they were all idle, which suggests that Russia tried to try us without starting war,” Sikorsky said.

According to Sikorsky, if the Russian attack led to human casualties, Poland would be “much tougher”. At the same time, he refused to clarify what it could be.

“With such an aggressor and a liar as Putin, only the harshest counter is working,” he said.

Sikorsky also reported that Polish units will be trained by the best Ukrainian counter -framework operators.

Direct Language: “Ukrainians have better equipment for combating Russian drones, and they have a much deeper and more modern experience in confronting the Russian army. This is that the public and governments in the West should urgently integrate into their thinking … that Ukrainians will teach us how to resist Russia, not vice versa.”

Details: According to the minister, the training will be held at the NATO Training Center in Poland, which is a “safer environment” than in Ukraine.

Prehistory:

  • Earlier, the media reported that representatives of the Polish army would go to Ukraine to learn how to knock down drones.
  • Subsequently, the Polish Defense Ministry stated that cooperation with the Ukrainian side to counteract drones will take place in the Polish territory.
  • On September 11, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Poland, General Veslav Kukul and Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Sirsky discussed the rules for exchange of information on air threats.
