About this reported representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
A business will not be disconnected from electricity only if it imports more than 60% of the total consumption for the relevant hour or if at least 60% of the electricity is provided by its own production.
Previously, electricity restriction measures were not foreseen for enterprises that import more than 80% of electricity for their needs.
Restrictive measures will not be applied to such consumers, in particular: electricity consumption limitation schedules, hourly blackouts, electric power consumption limitations, emergency blackouts.
“The decision of the government was adopted taking into account the increase in capacity limits for the import of electric energy to Ukraine from European countries to 2.1 GW. This will create additional incentives for attracting a larger volume of commercial imports of electric power, will allow the development of own electricity generation and ensure greater stability of the energy system in conditions of shortage “, – explained Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko.
