Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has lost more than 3,600 main battle tanks and almost 8,000 armored vehicles. Because of this, the occupiers are forced to retrieve obsolete equipment from storage, according to a new report by the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, reports UNN.

Details

Losses of Russian military equipment in Ukraine continue to grow. Since February 2022, Russia has lost more than 3,600 main battle tanks and about 8,000 armored vehicles. This led to the use of outdated and poorly maintained Soviet-era equipment from strategic warehouses

It is noted that the Russians are taking armored vehicles out of storage, modernizing them where possible, and sending them to the front line.

The British Ministry of Defense also published images that, according to the agency, confirm a significant reduction in the number of armored vehicles at the tank storage bases in Arsenyev, Bui and Ulan-Ude from 2022.

Addition

On December 14, the Russian army lost the largest number of vehicles since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed and damaged 181 enemy vehicles.
