British intelligence analyzed the consequences of politicization and militarization of Russian education

British intelligence suggests that it will perpetuate aggressive, expansionist Russian nationalism in the long run”, – WRITE: www.radiosvoboda.org

The Russian education system is likely to become more and more politicized, militarized and ideologically controlled in accordance with the broader purposes of the Russian state – this continues the trend that has increased significantly after the full -scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine in 2022. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense with reference to its intelligence data.

As an agency, with reference to the Russian media, “Verka” reports the growing prevalence of texts in support of the so -called “special military operation”, anti -Western work, Soviet literature and patriotic/pro -Russian military texts in schools. The layout also provides examples of how the Russian authorities ordered the removal of the mention of Ukraine from the textbooks.

British intelligence suggests that Russia is likely to use the education system to develop a more militarized nationalist society – this intention is almost certain to promote both deep support for Russia’s war against Ukraine and more
Youth readiness to join the army that suffered significant losses.

“It is likely that the politicization and militarization of Russian education in combination with the intensification of ideological indoperation of Russian children and young people will generally perpetuate the aggressive, expansionist Russian nationalism in the long run,” the statement reads.
