The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov arrived on a working visit to Great Britain and held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Defense John Geely. Umerov reported this on Facebook, he writes UNN.

“The main topic of our negotiations was the agreement on plans for bilateral cooperation in 2025 in key security areas,” Umyerov wrote.

Great Britain has confirmed its readiness to continue its constant and comprehensive support to Ukraine, in particular on the battlefield and in the international arena.

Increased military, political and economic aid from British allies is reportedly expected in 2025.

Also, during the meeting, Umerov discussed with Gil the development of the Ukrainian defense and industrial complex.

“Great Britain has already invested in the production of our weapons, and this cooperation continues: in particular, the funding will be directed to the production of air defense/anti-missile equipment and long-range weapons,” Umyerov noted.
