Details: According to the publication, the counter-proposal of the European states to the US “peace plan” includes, among other things, the provision of security guarantees by the US to Ukraine at the level of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.

At the same time, the US will receive “compensation” for such guarantees, although its form is not specified, the material says.
In addition, the Europeans are proposing that the frozen Russian assets be used to rebuild Ukraine and compensate for the damage caused, and until Moscow agrees to such compensation, they will remain frozen, Bloomberg adds.
The project prepared by the Europeans, according to the agency, provides that any discussions about the territories are possible only after a ceasefire in Ukraine, and the lifting of sanctions against Russia will take place in stages.
What preceded: The Ukrainian side previously announced the start of negotiations in Geneva and a meeting with representatives of Great Britain, Germany and France regarding the “peace plan”.
A meeting of American and Ukrainian representatives regarding the “peace plan” was also announced.
According to Bild, representatives of leading European states will meet with US representatives in Geneva on November 23, they disagree with at least 4 points of the “peace plan” of Donald Trump’s team.
