Blokhin talked about the crazy money he received after leaving Dynamo

The legendary forward of Kyiv “Dynamo” and the winner of the “Golden Ball-1975” Oleg Blokhin at the end of his career, he became one of the first Soviet football players who was allowed to go abroad. At the age of 35, he moved to the Austrian “Forverts”.

“At Forverts, I received $1,000 a month. Moreover, he paid the party contribution of three percent from them – as a communist. And the ambassador had a salary of about 1,200 dollars at that time. So I didn’t have to share my salary,” said Blokhin.

In Austria, Blokhin received much more, because in the union the average salary of a football player was 200-300 rubles per month.
