Belgian Cup. Antwerp and St. Truiden staged a thriller with a penalty shootout

Antwerp defeated St. Trujden in the round of 16 match Belgian Cup, winning in the penalty shootout (3:3 pen. 4:3).

The teams staged a productive match-thriller, scoring three goals each in regular time. Girano Kerk scored a double for the hosts.

In extra time, the teams did not score in the opponent’s goal, although there were enough chances.

The winner was determined by penalty kicks. The hosts of the field broke the series more accurately (pen. 4:3).

As a result, Antwerp reached the quarterfinals of the tournament.

On December 5, the final matches of the 1/8 finals will take place: Genk – Anderlecht, Charleroi – Mechelen.
