Lenovo is preparing to show the concept nobuk Project Pivo with a swivel display / photo @evleaksLenovo is preparing for an IFA 2025 display laptop with the unusual name Project Pivo. The device is not related to the hop drink, but is released by its design.
The first image of the novelty was posted by Insider Evan Blass. In the photo you can see a laptop, the screen of which returns around its axis, moving from landscape mode to portrait.
The display is disconnected from the main housing and fixed by means of magnetic fastening, and the power and data are transmitted through contact sites. Such a “turn” will probably be useful for reading long texts, programming or viewing mobile versions of sites.
It is noted that there are already rotary monitors on the market, but the integration of such functionality into a laptop opens a new engineering direction that may be in demand.
In addition to Project Pivo, new Lenovo devices are expected on IFA 2025 – including LEGION GO 2 portable player and Lenovo/Motorola Lenovo/Motorola smartphones.
According to The Verge Portal, Lenovo often experiments with the form factors of laptops: the company has a device with a growing screen and a partially transparent laptop. However, creating such a concept does not mean that Project Pivo will certainly go on sale.
IFA 2025, the largest world -renowned electronics exhibition, will take place in Berlin from September 5 to September 9. On the same day, Apple will have an autumn presentation, which will announce the iPhone 17 smartphones and other “apple” devices.
