The municipal enterprise “Kremenchutsk Trolleybus Management named after L. Ya. Levitan” announced a tender for the purchase of traction batteries for electric transport. The expected purchase price is UAH 5.72 million. The auction is scheduled for February 13. The new batteries will allow trolleybuses to cover up to 20 kilometers of autonomous travel without using a catenary network.
Information about the tender was published on the Prozorro platform on February 4, 2026.
It is about two sets of traction storage batteries with charging devices and cooling systems, which are planned to be installed on trolleybuses of the T70117 type. The equipment must be delivered by the end of 2026 at the company’s address on Kyivska Street.
New batteries should provide trolleybuses with autonomous travel of at least 20 km without connecting to the catenary network. At the same time, the transport must be fully operational: with lighting, fare payment systems, passenger information, interior heating and all main units. In fact, it is about the transition to a more flexible and independent electric vehicle, capable of running even in the absence of power from the grid.
The technical requirements for the equipment are quite strict: the batteries must be new, manufactured no earlier than 2025, have a capacity of at least 67 kW, withstand difficult operating conditions and be placed on the roof of the trolleybus. The chargers must work both from the contact network and from the 380 V industrial power network, with full control of the charging process and safety systems.
The auction is scheduled for February 13.
