After beating Real Madrid in the deciding match for the Spanish Super Cup, Barcelona extended their winning streak in all official competitions to 10 matches.
The final meeting took place at the “King Abdullah Sports City” arena in Jeddah and ended with the triumph of the blue-garnet team with a score of 3:2.
Having reached the mark of 10 consecutive victories, the Catalan club showed its best result in the last decade. A similar indicator was last recorded at the Blaugrana in the period from April to August 2016.
This success allowed Barcelona to win the country’s Super Cup for the 16th time, which strengthened its status as the absolute record holder of the tournament. We will remind that in last year’s final, the Catalans also defeated Real Madrid, but with a greater score – 5:2.
