It is reported that for the first time complications with the transfer of tanks arose last month, when US President Donald Trump temporarily frozen military assistance to Ukraine.
Currently, representatives of the defense department, aware of the situation, claim that the process is even more complicated because the formal permission that should be granted to the United States before tanks can be transferred to another country has not yet been obtained.
“We begin to doubt whether Ukrainians really want these cars – the tank’s roof is the weakest Abrams, which is a war of drones,” said unnamed representatives of the defense department.
The broadcaster also reminds that the Pentagon last year warned Australia against the transfer of outdated tanks through logistics costs and difficulties in maintaining equipment in Ukraine.

“The Ministry of Defense continues to cooperate with the Ukrainian Government in accordance with the agreed agreements on the transfer (M1A1 Abrams), including the supply and maintenance,” the spokesman said.
