But it is better than a sincere and outspoken flirting with the enemy and hostile organizations like the Moscow Church. When I read that interview, this impressive moment I got me to tears … And now I ask myself the question: when that moment came, the so -called “fork” came up, and the development of a conscious patriotic athlete went in a different direction.
Nowadays, a lot of analytical materials have emerged that, they say, this is the result of the work of special services of the neighboring state. I would like to look at it a little differently: where is the limit of the responsibility of our state in these processes? What did our politicians, statesmen, spiritual leaders do so that this does not happen? Why does the athlete not feel Successful in our country, and our enemies can so easily select it? The state holds the Ministry of Sports with all vertically power, sports schools and sections, pays for preparatory meetings and trains for competitions to athletes and coaches. Bad or good pays is another issue, but pays. As a result, we have a huge sports and financial machine, and we get agents of influence of the neighboring state at the outlet.
Worldwide athletes are valued as a national heritage worldwide. They represent the state, increase its prestige and national consciousness. The football team wins – so the whole state wins. The boxer won – the whole country won. It is clear to everyone and does not need unnecessary arguments … And that’s what strikes me the most in the current situation with Ukrainian boxers – we are stupid…, let’s replace this word with something more neutral, lost Lomachenko and Usik. They have always been Ukrainian, if they read their interviews, to track their views – these were normal pro -Ukrainian guys. The aggressor conquered them from us, as previously selected Crimea and Donbas. Why? The answer is obvious, because such athletes are of extraordinary value in ideological terms.
If we raise statistics, we will see that a television audience of fighting, for example, Usika in Ukraine is about five million spectators. Someone just drinks beer under his battles, someone is interested in him as a boxer, someone just gets moral pleasure from his victories. While he was with a chub and danced Hopak, he had a commitment to a part of the patriots, then, when he became with a beard and the values of the Moscow Patriarchate, he lost here, but gained the commitment of pro -Russian fans. These are all natural processes.
However, as a coach and a psychologist, I would like to dwell not on those who drink beer under Usik, but on a teenager (13-17 years) of an audience, which in the period of separation with their own parents begins to look for the leaders and models in the surrounding society. At this time, such an audience receives a life direction. And so, when the pro -Ukrainian Usik with the Chub was the idol of a part of this age layer, then our enemies needed to do something in order not to be. And they achieved that. Now we get tens of thousands of young people who will go to the Moscow Orthodoxy and the Slavic Brotherhood, because “we are brother”, so says their idol.
That is why we have lost the next war, and, no matter where, we are losing a lot now. Why did it happen? The easiest way to blame the FSB, but we already knew that they were our enemies, but gave them this task. In my opinion, the basis of the problem is that the pro -Ukrainian position is very little presented in our politicum. Most Ukrainian political forces are frankly hostile to Ukraine. But tell me if one of the so -called pro -Ukrainian politicians addressed Usik and Lomachenko, one of the national spiritual leaders met with them and communicated? I can answer – what they should communicate, saying, sports and church – are completely different directions? And everything is simple – that Kirill with Onufri was the first to not communicate. This is the state policy.
I do not want to defend Usik and Lomachenko, they are adults and make their choice. But when Russia occupied Crimea, the Crimean Usik took a pro -Ukrainian position and continued his speeches for the national team of Ukraine. Now it was selected, and we also help the aggressor. If you come to the page to Usik on social networks, 90% of negative and humiliating comments are in Ukrainian. But he will hate Ukrainians after that! And who is responsible for it? The enemies? Yes, but they only create the conditions, and then we will do everything ourselves.
The current haap around the boxers – only in the hand of Russia, which has unnecessary arguments about the “savagery” of the Ukrainian state, they say, look, there is even their pride, Olympic champions, are not able to appreciate.
This problem is much deeper than it may seem at first glance. Unfortunately, 80% of Ukrainian coaches still have soviet consciousness. They lived well for the USSR, they seek his return and hate Ukraine, considering it a misunderstanding. They instill the same “consciousness” to their athletes.
Moreover, if you go to any sports federation, nine out of ten employees communicate in Russian. The Ukrainian -language athlete is now nonsense, and they are trying to either “re -educate” or get rid of. I felt this attitude when I was still performing. I know cases where even our local athletes, indigenous Ternopil, switched to Russian. In the sports environment, unlike the Ukrainian, it is “swamp” and more prestigious. And from this it all starts …
Another problem – do you know a lot of pro -Ukrainian politicians and figures who support sports, sports clubs or children’s sections? But they are sorry to allocate a thousand dollars for the competition. But the figures from the same Party of Regions have always approached the athletes with “apartments” and, of course, quickly received them to their ranks, because they provided their future. Athletes actually sacrifice their lives of sports, and when their careers are completed, they are absolutely not adapted to their future life and do not imagine their future.
Why did I say that the influence of spiritual leaders is so important? When a sports career crosses the peak, there is a work, then any athlete begins to think about what to do next. He does not complete his career, but begins to seek spiritual support. During this period, he is very vulnerable and often falls into the tenet of all kinds of sects, or, as in the case of Usik and Lomachenko, to the Moscow priests. And in 2-3 years they already “cultivated” adherents of “Russian measure” with glass eyes. Can they now be returned? I think it is unlikely, but we must strive. I am sure that the hatred wave that has now risen against Usik and Lomachenko is not in favor of Ukraine. I equate the boys to the prisoners in the enemy, but in another, ideological war. It is necessary not to exacerbate the situation, but to sit down and look for points of contact with boxers, because they continue to represent Ukraine and are sports stars.
