The Lufthansa Boeing 747-8, which was flying between Ezeiza International Airport (Buenos Aires) and Frankfurt, experienced strong turbulence while flying over the territory between South America and Africa. The incident happened on Monday around 18:00 when the plane was at an altitude of 10,000 meters.
Lufthansa said that despite the turbulence, there was no threat to the safety of the plane itself. “The safety of the flight was never at risk,” the company representative emphasized. The airline expressed sympathy for the inconvenience caused.
