He gets bundled over and the a free-kick is awarded.

The Gunners’ winger is then shown a yellow card for kicking the ball away.

As another lofted ball is sent into the box, Merino manages to square it and Trossard tries to send it goalwards.

It loops up in the air and the keeper catches it under his crossbar.

Saka teases his man over on the left and clips a cross into the six yard box.

Donnarumma comes to get to it but misses it, Martinelli slides in but cannot get to it to send it into the empty net.

PSG keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma would have expected to have been troubled more in the first 30 minutes of this tie.

That allows the PSG wingers to get the ball with acres of space in front of them.

It is far more difficult to tackle a player moving at pace and not fouling him, the manager may want to consider that.

They are so quick at passing the ball around.

It finds its way to the feet of Kvaratskhelia, who fires off a shot but Raya saves.

Arsenal 0-1 PSG23. Lewis-Skelly is fouled and earns his side a free-kick.

This seems to put ten pence in the crowd as they awake from their slumber.

Odegaard looks to float one into the penalty area.

He plays it inside to Saka, who looks to run at the visitors.

Eventually, Merino is penalised for a foul on Marquinhos as he leans into the centre-back as he jumping for the header.

Arsenal 0-1 PSG19. You feel PSG are luring Arsenal into their trap the longer this game goes on with this scoreline.

The Gunners will become desperate and throw more players forward.

That will just allow this pacy attack to pick them off on the break.

Arsenal 0-1 PSG17. Kvaratskhelia runs at three Arsenal defenders and ghosts in between them all.

He has a sight of goal but ends up in a bundle on the floor.

The referee waves away his penalty and claims and there is no talk of VAR reviewing it at all.

Sometimes the review process makes you feel you are playing the Italian mafia in Naples, no danger of getting a fair crack.

The Gunners just cannot clear their lines and the visitors recycle it well.

PSG continue to pass it around, looking for runners into space.

Rice talked about being nothing without the ball in the huddle before kick-off, they are not seeing much of it in these early stages.

 But Mikel Arteta will be furious with the way Ousmane Dembele had so much room to stroll through the midfield with the ball to start the move before scoring.
