An international anti-narcotics operation was conducted in Slovakia, as a result of which more than 2,000 kilograms of cocaine worth approximately 175 million euros were seized. The police detained 22 people and conducted 42 searches of houses and other premises. Source: “European Truth” with reference to the Slovak police Details: It is reported that the Slovak national anti-narcotics unit, in cooperation with Eurojust and Europol, conducted a large-scale international police operation under the code name “LINEA”. Its purpose was to eliminate an organized criminal group involved in the illegal trade in drugs and tobacco products. The operation was launched in November 2024 at the initiative of the judicial authorities of several European countries. It was based on operational investigative measures that revealed links between criminal structures operating in Slovakia, Hungary and Spain. The group allegedly ordered, transported and distributed narcotic and psychotropic substances, mainly from South and Central America. On October 21, 2025, law enforcement officers conducted a large-scale operation in which more than 450 police officers from various police units took part. The police detained 22 people and conducted 42 searches of houses and other premises. In Slovakia alone, law enforcement officers conducted nine house searches and 21 other premises and land plots. In total, law enforcement officers seized 2,276 kilograms of cocaine worth approximately 175 million euros. At the same time, two illegal cigarette production lines were discovered, including a filling and packaging machine. Law enforcement officers also seized 3.5 million cigarettes, 75 thousand packs of cigarettes and approximately 14 tons of tobacco. In addition, cash totaling EUR 367,650 and HUF 1,460,000 (about EUR 3,800) was seized. Ten persons, including three Hungarians and seven Slovaks, were charged. During the operation, an illegal tobacco factory was also uncovered, where seven citizens of Ukraine were detained. All of them are suspected of being involved in a particularly serious crime – the illegal production and trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances, as well as the creation and support of the activities of an organized criminal group. What happened before: 200 kg of cocaine worth 16 million euros were recently seized in Rome. In the Netherlands, 1,200 kg of cocaine were seized, and a 14-year-old teenager was among the detainees. It was also reported that Spanish police seized 6.5 tons of cocaine and arrested nine people after raiding a vessel off the Canary Islands thanks to information from the United States.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua
