Anthropic followed Meta in opening up its AI technologies to US intelligence and defense agencies. For this, the company entered into a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Palantir, it is said in the message of the latter.
The US government will have access to the Claude 3 and 3.5 family of large language models on AWS.
“The partnership enables an integrated set of technologies to operationalize Claude within Palantir’s AI platform, while leveraging the security, flexibility and resiliency benefits provided by AWS,” Palantir said.
US defense and intelligence services will get a set of tools to “use AI models safely in critical missions,” said the company’s chief technical officer, Shyam Sankar.
Among the possible methods of application:
- fast processing of huge volumes of complex data;
- increasing the level of analytical information;
- effective detection of regularities and trends;
- optimization of verification and preparation of documents;
- helping US officials make more informed decisions in situations that require urgency.
Palantir Technologies is an American technology company that develops software for data analysis.
Previously, institutes associated with China’s People’s Liberation Army used Meta’s publicly available neural network to develop a tool potentially suitable for military purposes.
We will remind you that in June, the People’s Republic of China created an AI commander for military simulations.
