The football player was not included in the application for the match against “Roma”, because he felt pain in his ankle even in the previous game. Jimenez has now announced his decision to take a break, starting treatment that will last around five weeks.
“For several months I played with an ankle injury that prevented me from being 100% ready and comfortable on the pitch. I really wanted to help the team, so I kept playing, but the pain was getting worse and it was time to stop,” Santiago wrote.
Jimenez will thus miss Mexico’s November matches against Uruguay and Paraguay, and will not help out in Serie A Milan until mid-December.
