In the fourth stage of the Operation “Guardian” law enforcement officers exposed 37 more – including civilians and servicemen – who tried to avoid service in the Armed Forces.

The main scheme was to submit to the military units and the CCC of fictitious documents about the allegedly poor health or the need to care for sick relatives. During the checks, it turned out that 10-15% of the documents were fictitious: men or their relatives did not actually turn to medical institutions, and completely different people were treated or examined.
According to the results of four stages of special operation, more than 70 people have already received suspicion. Their actions are qualified under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular for evasion of military service, fraud and forgery. The punishment of up to 10 years in prison is provided.
Law enforcement officers continue to collect evidence to prosecute all those involved. The events were held in more than 17 regions of Ukraine and in Kyiv with the participation of the National Police, DBR and Military Internal Security of the Armed Forces under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.
We will remind, the SBU and the police detained the seven organizers of schemes of evasion of mobilization.
The DBR also investigated almost a thousand cases of evasion.
