Another 1,000 bodies of dead Ukrainians were returned to Ukraine

On November 20, repatriation measures took place, as a result of which 1,000 bodies were returned to Ukraine, which, according to the Russian Federation, belong to Ukrainian servicemen.

Details: The Coordinating Headquarters noted that in the near future the law enforcement officers will conduct all the necessary examinations and identification of the repatriated bodies.

The return of the bodies of the dead was the result of the joint work of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Office of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and others.

As of October, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, 82 repatriations of bodies were carried out, as part of which the bodies of 13,744 dead Ukrainians were returned home.
