The head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak has a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the Secretariat for National Security of Japan, Advisor to the Cabinet of Ministers on National Security Massatak Okano and congratulated him on his appointment.
It was the first international telephone conversation of Massatak OKANO after appointing a national security advisor.
The head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine expressed deep gratitude to the Japanese side for considerable financial and humanitarian aid, provided since the beginning of full -scale Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Andriy Yermak informed the interlocutor about the situation on the battlefield, as well as the defensive and humanitarian needs of Ukraine.
The parties exchanged views on further ways of deepening cooperation in the field of transmission of defense equipment and technologies.
The Presidential Office Head also thanked Japan for their active support in the implementation of peace and efforts aimed at achieving a just peace for Ukraine. He noted the sanctions imposed this month against a number of Russian individuals and legal entities, as well as the ban on Japan on the export of different categories of goods to Russia.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of maintaining political dialogue at the level of leaders in the near future.
Andriy Yermak and Masatak Okano agreed to continue close contacts.
