And Just Like That… Season 3 Cast Many familiar faces from the Sex and the City universe have returned for Season 3.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis are back as Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte. The core supporting cast also returns, including Sarita Choudhury as Seema, Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa, Karen Pittman as Nya, Mario Cantone as Anthony, David Eigenberg as Steve, Evan Handler as Harry, Christopher Jackson as Herbert, Niall Cunningham as Brady, Cathy Ang as Lily, and Alexa Swinton as Rock.
Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt. (Max) One notable absence this season is Sara Ramirez, who will not reprise their role as nonbinary comedian Che Diaz. According to a February 2024 report from Variety, Ramirez was not brought back for season 3, though sources emphasized it was unrelated to their political views or social media activity.
John Corbett’s return as Aidan Shaw was a major storyline in season 2, but his character took a step back after an emotional finale. While Aidan is currently back in Virginia, his storyline remains open-ended, and he could make another appearance later this season.
John Corbett and Sarah Jessica Parker as Aidan and Carrie. (Max) Did Samantha Return In And Just Like That… Season 3? Samantha Jones has not returned in Season 3—at least not yet. Kim Cattrall’s headline-making cameo actually happened during the And Just Like That… Season 2 finale, which aired on August 24, 2023. The moment marked her first appearance in the Sex and the City revival after years of speculation about her potential involvement.
In the finale scene, Samantha calls Carrie from London to say she had planned to surprise her by attending her farewell dinner in person. Unfortunately, a flight delay kept her from making it. Instead, Samantha paid tribute to Carrie’s apartment with a sweet, short phone call that ended with her kissing her phone. After the phone call ended, Samantha sweetly kissed her phone. And Just Like That showrunner Michael Patrick King revealed that moment was not in the script during the finale edition of the show’s official podcast. He also admitted that this phone call wasn’t some “giant moment” between them.
“Always, in my multiverse of And Just Like That/Sex and the City, they were always talking. Always. Texting and talking and not just Carrie but Samantha and Miranda and Charlotte,” he explained. “We had laid off the texting this season because I felt we were going to the well too much.”
Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones in the ‘And Just Like That’ season 2 finale. (Max) Though brief, the moment was monumental for fans, especially given the longstanding off-screen tension between Cattrall and the rest of the original cast. According to Variety, Kim filmed the cameo in March 2023 without speaking to Parker or King.
Cattrall later told TODAY that she’ll never fully say goodbye to Samantha. “She gave me so much, and I’m so appreciative of her,” she said. As for a return in season 3 or beyond? “That’s as far as I’m going to go,” she said at the time.
Despite past tension, Parker told ET that she was “really excited” Kim agreed to return, even just for the one scene. King called it a “sweet treat” for fans and noted to Forbes that “something shifted emotionally in the universe” that made the cameo possible.
Kim had previously said she would not return to the role of Samantha Jones in the revival series. Thankfully, she changed her mind.

What Happened At The End of And Just Like That… Season 2? The And Just Like That season 2 finale featured several beginnings and endings. In addition to Samantha’s return, Aidan and Carrie’s relationship was put on pause. Carrie officially moved out of her apartment and into her new one.
Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes. (Max) Che and Miranda addressed their relationship after Che’s mean comedy club jokes. They settled things between them and agreed their relationship was a “train wreck.” Miranda also had an honest conversation with Steve, and they’re starting a new chapter as just friends. Towards the end of the episode, Miranda got a last-minute call to do a spot on BBC and totally nailed it.
Carrie didn’t wallow in Aidan leaving New York to go back to Virginia for good. She decided to look ahead. Instead of going to the Hamptons with Seema for the summer, the girls went all the way to Greece.
