An unknown object exploded in the Kyiv region

In the Kyiv region, a woman was killed as a result of an explosion of an unknown object and a man was injured, the regional prosecutor’s office reported.

It is reported that the incident happened in the village of Morozivka, the Baryshev community.

“The event happened today, September 15, around 10:00. According to preliminary data, an unknown item exploded near the trash. As a result, a 57-year-old resident was killed. A 40-year-old man was injured and hospitalized, ”they say in the department.

According to the prosecutor’s office, an investigative team, police explosives and rescuers work at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, the circumstances of the incident and the origin of the explosive object are established, the prosecutor’s office is stated.

In early April, the State Emergency Service reported that since February 2022, 336 people were killed in Ukraine, 18 children were killed in Ukraine. 825 people were injured, 92 of them. According to rescuers, about 139 thousand square kilometers (23% of Ukraine’s total area) are potentially dangerous.
