The first batch remained with the Ukrainian team. The Lviv players confidently played the end of the set and took the lead in the score. Despite this, in the next set, the opponent managed to win back, steadily holding a comfortable advantage.
So, after successful sets from both sides, the teams approached the third game. There, “Bats” led in the score and were the first to win a set point, but “Olshtyn” did not relent and first equalized the score, and later won 25:27. A similar course of events was in the final game segment. The scoreboard remained balanced until the very end, but closer to the end, Olsztyn scored a series of five consecutive points, after which Barkom was unable to overcome the deficit.
The most productive player of the match was the Australian player of the “Bats” Lorenzo Pope, who scored 22 points.
