Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained another Russian agent in Donetsk region. According to the investigation, at the request of the FSB, he handed over the coordinates of the units of the Defense Forces involved in hostilities in the Lyman and Kramatorsk directions.

The agent turned out to be a 68-year-old local resident who contacted the FSB through a special chatbot of the Russian intelligence service. After recruitment, the person involved traveled around the front-line city and its surroundings on shuttle buses, recording the location of the Ukrainian military.
SBU employees exposed the agent’s activities in advance, documented his intelligence forays and detained him at his place of residence. Measures were also taken to ensure the security of the bases of Ukrainian troops in the zone of enemy intelligence.
During the search of the detainee’s apartment, a smartphone with evidence of cooperation with the Russian Federation was seized. Currently, the investigators have informed him of the suspicion of treason committed under martial law.
The perpetrator faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Also, the Kyiv police and SBU detained an attacker who set fire to a military serviceman’s car in the Obolon district of the capital at the behest of the enemy. The customer promised a payment of $1.5 thousand for the destruction of the car, but the executor never received the money.
