NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Orbital apparatus first made an image of the Curiosity rover rushing.
A photo, taken by Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, gives a rather interesting visualization of what the rover this year was doing. It shows the traces left by Curiosity when traveling from its previous scientific purpose – an area called the Gediz Vallis channel to its next destination. According to NASA, this shot is considered the first orbital image of the rover in the middle of the path through the Red Planet.
In the photo, the rover is only a tiny aunt in the front of a trail of about 320 meters long. Image was made on February 28 by Hirise camera (The scientific experiment to obtain high resolution images) shows the Curiosity movement during 11 runs since the beginning of this month.
Once there was water. NASA marmore found traces of ancient lakes on the surface of the red planet
Although several weeks may seem too long for the traces of tires to remain in the soil, this is normal for Mars. In NASA, they say that most likely these traces will last months before they are erased by the wind.
Curiosity is expected to reach its next scientific destination in the coming weeks.
