On the last day of January, weather conditions in Ukraine will be contrasting. A decrease in temperature and frost are predicted in some regions, while precipitation and gusty winds are expected in regions with positive indicators.
This is reported with reference to weather forecaster Natalka Didenko Telegram.
According to her, on January 31 in Luhansk region, Donetsk region, Zaporozhye and Crimea, +1+5 degrees is expected during the day. However, such warm weather will be accompanied by rain, sleet and stormy gusts of wind.
“That’s why this heat cannot be called so comfortable,” Didenko noted.
Today, it will enter the territory of Ukraine from the north a new powerful anticyclone that will gradually displace moist air masses and bring frost.
In most regions, -6-10 degrees is expected during the day, and -7-12 degrees in the north and west. The wind is northeasterly, gusty, with stormy gusts in places, which will significantly increase the feeling of cold.
Snow and sleet will fall in the center of the country (except Vinnytsia), in the south and east. Rains will prevail in the southeast. No significant precipitation is forecast in the western and northern regions.
Weather in Kyiv
According to Didenko’s forecast, January in the capital will end with cold weather with a night temperature of -14 degrees. During the day, thermometers in the capital will show -12.

Further, the frosts will intensify in Ukraine – the second cold wave is approaching.
According to Didenko, the beginning of February will be very cold, with a night temperature of -20-28 degrees.
Forecasters have long warned about the return of frost at the end of January and the beginning of February. A sharp drop in temperature is expected in Ukraine on February 1-3. At night, except for Transcarpathia and the south of the country, thermometers will drop to minus 20-27 degrees.
In the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Sumy, Poltava and Kharkiv regions, as well as in Kyiv, minus 20-25 degrees are forecast at night. During the day, the temperature will be minus 15-22 degrees.
In places, frosts can reach minus 30 degrees, which corresponds to the III level of danger (red).
The weather is expected to worsen in Ukraine on January 31.
