Among the 277 released from April 19 from the Russian captivity of Ukrainians – 268 ordinary and sergeants, as well as nine officers. Most of them are young people who were born after 2000.

“Today, on the eve of the Easter holiday, one of the largest exchanges of prisoners took place. As a result of the talk process with the coordination headquarters on the management of prisoners of war on behalf of the President of Ukraine, 277 Ukrainian defenders and defenders were released from Russian captivity. 246 soldiers were returned in the framework of the exchange of prisoners, 31 more people were able to release out of exchange, ”the message reads.
Among the liberated are the defenders from the garrison of Mariupol, the National Guards, military sailors, TRI soldiers, the State Special Transport Service, the Air Force and the forces of unmanned systems.
Most of those who managed to return are young people after 2000. In particular, the family will see her relatives today, who has been in captivity since May 2022.
The rank and file staff included 268 released, also returned nine officers who defended from the enemy Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson region and the city of Mariupol.
The current exchange is the fourth this year and the 63rd from the beginning of a full-scale invasion. This year alone, 596 Ukrainians were returned from Russian captivity and 53 defenders liberated from exchanges.
In total, in the framework of the talk process and exchanges since March 2022, 4552 Ukrainian citizens were returned to the Coordination Staff. Out -of -exchange additional 529 are additionally released from Russian captivity.
