On March 1, the deadline for the liability of fighters who left the service ended.
According to the State Bureau of Investigation, nearly 21 thousand 100 servicemen returned to the service from 29 November 2024 to March 1, 2025.
It was stated that the soldiers returned to the Armed Forces most of all, as well as the military actively returned to the National Guard and Border Service.
The State Bureau of Investigation in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies and the Military Law Enforcement Service provided a clear procedure for returning the military. They could come not only to their part, but also to the territorial units of the DBR, the military service of law enforcement or the National Police. The Ministry of Defense also allowed one of the 17 identified military units or one of the 14 mouths of the National Guard reserve.
Upon arrival in the part, the serviceman had to submit a report for renewal to the service, which launched a clear algorithm for further actions – from registration of documents to the restoration of payments.
After March 1, 2025, servicemen who left the unit should also return to the service, but the mechanism of legalization in the unit will already be somewhat different.
On November 21, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on voluntary return to the service for the first HCP or desertion. · According to the new legislation, the military who for the first time left the place of service had to return to January 1, 2025 to avoid criminal liability.
On January 9, the Verkhovna Rada supported the extension from January 1 to March 1, 2025, the term of voluntary return to the service of the military who left part of the military.
