59% consider it not enough to be tight about Putin.

This is evidenced by the Caps/Harris Harvard Center survey, which was conducted between May 14-15. According to him, 66% of voters believe that the Kremlin ruler Putin “plays games and brings the US and the event to a dead end.” At the same time, 62% of respondents believe in the sincere desire of the President of Ukraine to end the war.
62%of voters support the continuation of supplies of weapons to the Ukrainian army and imposing sanctions against Russia (Democrats: 71%; Republicans: 59%; Independent: 56%).
64% believe that Ukraine should receive direct security guarantees from America if it is concerned for the cessation of war with Russia (most of all parties). 59% believe that Trump was not tight enough in relations with Putin and Russians:
“The voters were divided 50 by 50 as for Trump’s negotiations between Ukraine and Russia: 79% of Republicans are satisfied and 76% of Democrats and 55% of independent are not satisfied.”
Trump is criticized for a soft position onIt is known that the US President is not accused of ambiguous attitude towards Russia and its aggression against Ukraine. His statements about the war in Ukraine were concerned with both American allies and political opponents.
Despite the high -profile promises to end the war, and if it is not possible – to increase the sanction pressure on Moscow, the promised measures have not been implemented. Moreover, Trump does not hide his interest in doing business with Russia.
A separate wave of criticism caused his statement about Ukraine’s responsibility for the beginning of a full -scale war, as well as the statement that “Putin wants peace.”
Although Putin rejected all his calls to stop fire and sit down at the negotiation table immediately, Trump refuses to impose new sanctions against Russia, and continues to claim that the Kremlin ruler seeks to end the war.
