Details: According to Bodnar, the citizen of Ukraine became the victim of a group attack after a domestic incident, which was resolved without the involvement of the police.

“Despite this, physical violence was used against him, and during the attack insulting remarks related to his national origin were heard. As a result of the beating, he suffered serious injuries and is in the hospital,” he said.
Bodnar emphasized that citizens of Ukraine have the right to respect for their dignity and security regardless of their country of residence, and any manifestations of violence or hate speech against Ukrainians are unacceptable and should receive a proper legal assessment.
“I expect that the circumstances of this incident will be comprehensively and impartially clarified, and the guilty persons will be brought to justice in accordance with the legislation, taking into account all the circumstances of the case, in particular the possible motive of national hatred,” he emphasized.
The ambassador also added that the consular service of Ukraine in Poland is in constant working contact with Polish law enforcement agencies and receives the necessary information through official channels.
“The facts of violence against Ukrainian citizens abroad require a proper and consistent response,” he summarized.
