The wires between the equipment of substations and supports on four lines of 330 kV with Kaliningrad and Belarus, which worked before the shutdown, were dismantled on February 10, immediately after disconnection from Russian and Belarusian networks and synchronization with continental Europe.

The complete dismantling of all lines with Kaliningrad will be completed by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2026. And the dismantling of most transmission lines with Belarus will be completed by the end of 2026.

As it was reported, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, on February 8, disconnected their electrical systems from a single network with Russia and Belarus (Brell), and on February 9, they joined the continental European network, which serves more than 400 million consumers in 26 countries.

Baltic operators filed an application for accession to continental European networks in 2007.

Baltic countries have not import electricity from the Russian Federation since May 2022.

Ukraine has disconnected its power system from the Russian on February 24, 2022. The transition to the isolated regime took place before the start of the military invasion of Russia and was envisaged as an experiment, but through the war, in three weeks, Ukraine joined the ENTSO-E grid. This allowed to start electricity trade with the European Union later.
