Payments of 1 million hryvnias, indicated, are provided for by those servicemen of the rank and file, officers and sergeant staff, who have joined the Armed Forces for up to 25 years before the relevant government resolution was entered into force.
For this category of military personnel, the grounds for the remuneration are direct participation in hostilities within 6 months and the lack of facts of criminal, administrative or disciplinary responsibility.
The Defense Ministry added that the award is also paid in case of failure to comply with six months of participation in hostilities due to injury or captivity.
“This is fair, because many people went to defend their homeland before these contracts have emerged,” the press service explained.
