On Thursday, September 11, the military psychologist and co-founder of NGO “Ukrainian LGBT+ military and veterans at equal rights” passed away from life, Alexander Danilin, better known in LGBT+ community as Dregist Marlene Shkandal.

At the end of February this year, Danilin announced the raising of UAH 400,000 for supporting therapy necessary for his life, as he expected for liver transplantation.
The Coordinator on Policy and Legislation of the National LGBT-Consortium Svyatoslav Sheremet emphasized that Danilin was always courageous and courageous. He mentioned that Alexander became the face of the LGBT community on the cover of the cult magazine “One of us” in 2008 and inspired people with his creativity, even fighting with serious illness.
