“Fortunately, the matter is situational. What happened today and can still be observed depends on the weather conditions, but the situation is normalizing. As soon as it became warmer and a little more windy, we can see that there is practically no smog in the capital. The products are still felt burning in the air, but the indicators are still approaching the norm. The situation is a little better on the right bank. It is a little worse, with some excess, on the left bank,” Grynchuk said.
She emphasized the need to develop a monitoring system for the state of the air, as it will allow to respond correctly to the concentration of pollution in the air.

In the morning, a temporary deterioration of air quality was observed in the capital due to an increase in the concentration of suspended particles.
The probable cause of the temporary deterioration of the air condition in the capital was forest fires in Dubechansky, Novosilkivskyi and Fenevytskyi forestry of the Kyiv region, as well as seasonal temperature changes.
State enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” announced that all fires on the territories of the state enterprise in the Kyiv region have been eliminated. Smog in the capital arose for other reasons, and air quality deteriorated due to other factors.
