On the night of November 19, Ukraine suffered a massive attack by the Russian Federation. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Lviv Oblast, Ternopil Oblast, Prykarpattia, as well as Kyiv Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, Cherkasy Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, and Dnipro Oblast were under attack. According to Zelenskyi, as a result of the Russian attack, energy, transport, and civil infrastructure were damaged.
As reported by the local authorities, residential buildings have been hit in Ternopil. It is known that 9 people died, 22 more people were injured. Rescuers are sorting through the rubble, under which there may still be people. The energy infrastructure was damaged in Lviv Oblast and Prykarpattia.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
