On the night of January 20, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with the 141st Shahed attack drone and simulator drones of various types from five directions: Millerova, Orla, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and also used the Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation in the Sumy region, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

“As of 08:00, the downing of 93 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Donetsk regions” is confirmed in the message.

According to the Air Force, 47 simulator drones were “lost in location” without negative consequences, two of them flew to Russia.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
