The Central Election Commission of Georgia officially announced the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26. The pro-Russian ruling party Georgian Dream won the majority — 53.93% (89 mandates out of 150), reports News of Georgia on Saturday, November 16.

The remaining seats in the parliament were divided between four opposition parties:

  • The Coalition For Changes won 11.03% of the votes (19 mandates);
  • Unity — National Movement — 10.17% (16 mandates);
  • Coalition Strong Georgia — 8.81% (14 mandates);
  • Giorgi Gakharia for Georgia — 7.78% (12 mandates).

According to the CEC, more than 2.1 million people out of 3.5 million who have the right to vote took part in the elections. About 34,900 ballots were declared invalid.
