In Ukraine, a gradual decrease in temperature is expected from February 4, starting from the west and southwest.
According to meteorologists, the minimum temperature in Kyiv these days will reach -17°С, and on February 7 it may rise to -4°С.
However, this warming will be short-lived, as already on February 8, the temperature will start to drop again, and forecasters predict frosts of up to -19°C in the coming days.
The following days are under threat of cold weather affecting the country’s power system and utilities, as polar air from the northeast has caused extreme cold.
At the same time, according to another meteorological resource, on February 11, the temperature drop will be less sharp – about -10 degrees Celsius is expected.
At the beginning of February, part of the regions already faced critical temperature indicators, which complicate the living and working conditions for many Ukrainians.
The situation requires proper preparation from residents and services, because such a decrease in temperature can complicate transport and living conditions. Forecasters advise to be careful, in particular, regarding the use of electricity and preparedness for emergency situations.
