During the assault seven were injured American soldiers, some of whom received gunshot wounds directly during the battle in Maduro’s residence. Some of the wounded were taken to a military medical center in Texas for operations.
The Pentagon reported that five of the wounded soldiers have already returned to duty. Two more soldiers are currently recovering from their injuries.
The raid was carried out by the fighters of the special unit “Delta” together with the soldiers of the 75th Ranger Regiment and the 160th Aviation Regiment of Special Operations, which performs the most dangerous military missions. The helicopters took off from warships near the coast of Venezuela and hovered low over the water to avoid detection.

Kane also said that Operation Absolute Resolve was “carefully planned” and involved 150 aircraft flying from 20 locations.
