After the Russian strike on November 9, almost three quarters of the Poltava region were left without electricity.
This was announced by the head of Poltava OVA Volodymyr Kogut.
Poltava, Kremenchug and Myrhorod districts were the most affected. According to Kogut, the situation has now been stabilized: repair work and the restoration of critical services — water supply, heat, and mobile communications — are ongoing.
Schedules of emergency and hourly shutdowns continue to apply in the region. Due to voltage fluctuations, part of the equipment was damaged, which caused blackouts in some neighborhoods and individual houses.
KP “Poltavavodokanal” gradually restores water supply, and JSC “Poltavateploenergo” starts the operation of boiler plants. “Heat supply should be restored in all communities in the near future,” said Kogut.
Regarding mobile communication, it is stable in most settlements, but local interruptions are possible due to damage to technical elements.
The head of the OVA added that additional Points of Invincibility are working and being deployed in the region.
“I gave instructions to strengthen the work of hotlines and informing citizens. Thank you to everyone who is working 24/7 to overcome the consequences of enemy attacks. I am grateful to the residents of the region for their patience and understanding. We continue to work,” he concluded.
We will remind that the energy infrastructure of Ukraine was subjected to a large-scale ballistic attack by Russian terrorist forces. The power supply system was partially stabilized, but hourly outage schedules were introduced.
In Ukraine on Sunday, November 9, there was a significant blackout will increase . Volumes and durations will increase, and schedules will operate in most regions. In addition, on November 8, they are applied until the end of the day.
In the evening of November 8, as a result of attacks by Russian terrorists, two thermal power plants of the state-owned company “Centrenergo” stopped their work – Zmiivska TPP in Kharkiv Oblast and Trypilska TPP in Kyiv Oblast.
