The Kyiv police said that on December 24, while on duty, the police officers stopped a Mitsubishi driver who, while inspecting the vehicle, suddenly started moving in the direction of a police officer.
“During the pursuit, the law enforcement officers searched for the offender’s car on one of the streets of the Dnipro district. The driver did not respond to the lawful demands of the police, locking himself in the car, so the police officers opened the door by force and detained the man,” the report says.
The law enforcement officers did not explain in detail why they used a fire extinguisher and damaged the car in order to forcefully get the driver, they only informed that based on the indicated fact, the investigative department of the Darnytsia Police Department has initiated criminal proceedings under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — resistance to a law enforcement officer.
