Ukrainian business in Poland: how new horizons are opening
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainians have opened more than 60,000 companies in Poland, creating not only new jobs, but also multimillion-dollar investment projects. One of the most striking examples was the restart of the Ursus Polish plant, which received a new Ukrainian co-owner.
Ursus: a second wind for the legend of Polish industry
The history of Ursus began back in 1893, when it became the flagship of the Polish mechanical engineering, in particular the production of tractors. However, three years ago, the plant went bankrupt, leaving its glory in the past. A new page was opened thanks to the Ukrainian investor Oleg Krot, who decided to bring the company back to life.
“We strive not only to revive the plant, but also to modernize its production. One of the priorities is the creation of demining equipment, which is critically important for Ukraine,” Oleg Krot said.
The project aroused great interest in the Polish media. Polish co-investor Bozena Glowacka emphasized that the updated Ursus will become a center of innovation in agricultural machinery, the products of which will be in demand in both countries.
What does this mean for Ukraine?
For the Ukrainian agricultural and industrial spheres, the revival of Ursus will be a significant impetus. The plant will not only supply modern machinery for agriculture, but will also help provide specialized equipment for demining and infrastructure restoration.
“We are creating equipment that will restore security to the liberated territories of Ukraine,” Oleg Krot emphasized.
A symbol of business integration and cooperation
Ukrainian business investment in Polish industry is more than just an economic project. It is a symbol of partnership between the two countries. Poland receives new investments and the revival of industrial giants, and Ukraine – access to the European market and technologies.
“Such projects are the foundation for future cooperation and reconstruction of Ukraine,” says Artur Baglyuk, a representative of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.
Investments that unite countries
The restart of Ursus demonstrates how Ukrainian business is able to integrate into the European economy, opening up new opportunities for both countries. This is not only economic cooperation, but also strengthening of relations between Ukraine and Poland.
The future belongs to those who act. By reviving legendary brands abroad, Ukrainians are also creating a platform for rebuilding their own country.
