In January 2021, law enforcement agencies exposed “Pryshchavoy” for extorting $110,000 in fictitious debt from a Zakarpattia businessman as part of a group of racketeers. In case of refusal to pay, the victim and his family were threatened with physical violence.

Then the law enforcement officers detained the racketeer and informed him of the suspicion of committing a crime.

However, on the eve of the court session, the perpetrator fled abroad under the guise of a “sudden” deterioration in health and hid there for a long time.

According to the SBU materials, the suspect was declared an international wanted man.

During complex measures, the racketeer was detained in Prague, where he tried to hide from justice.

Currently, it is planned to extradite him to Ukraine, where he will stand trial for crimes committed in accordance with Part 2 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (extortion committed by a group of persons under a prior conspiracy with the threat of murder or serious bodily injury).

The perpetrator faces up to 7 years in prison.
