Norwegian striker “Benfica” Andreas Schelderup received a suspended sentence in Denmark: 14 days in prison and one year of probation for distributing an intimate video involving minors that he forwarded to an acquaintance.
The footballer pleaded guilty and explained that he had sent the 27-second clip in November 2023. The court noted that Andreas received this video, he did not look for it himself, and later deleted it, realizing the illegality of his actions.
In early November, Schelderup apologized on social networks. The Norwegian Football Federation found the punishment sufficient. After that, he played 20 minutes in the match against Estonia (4:0), but remained on the bench in the game against Italy (4:1). In the current season, Schelderup played 17 matches for Benfica and scored two goals.
