A resident of Dnipro was sentenced to 15 years in prison for cooperation with the special services of the Russian Federation

A court in Ukraine sentenced a resident of Dnipro to 15 years in prison and confiscation of property on charges of treason, reports the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

According to the indictment, in August 2024, the man contacted a representative of the Russian special services and agreed to carry out his tasks. As reported by the prosecutor’s office, the man sent photos, videos and coordinates of Ukrainian military units and defense enterprises in the Dnipropetrovsk region to the Russian special services for a month. He also transmitted information about the consequences of the Russian strikes.

The man was detained in October 2024. His name is not disclosed.

The court found him guilty under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason under martial law.

In total, from the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine until November 18, 2025, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine initiated almost 200,000 cases of war crimes and 24,000 criminal cases against national security, including 4,675 cases under the article on treason; 10,465 cases under the article on collaborative activity; 1621 case on assistance to the aggressor country.
