“Andrii Yaremenko was 25 years old”, — write: sport.ua
Andriy Yaremenko was born on December 13, 1999 in Zhytomyr, where he studied at the local secondary school No. 8. From the age of seven, his life was inextricably linked with Greco-Roman wrestling — first at a children’s and youth sports school, where training became a real passion for the boy.

The first coach Dmytro Piskun remembers Andrii as a young man in whom the champion was visible even before the first big starts. At the Berezniv Lyceum-boarding sports profile Andriy established himself as the leader of the carpet. He represented Zhytomyr Oblast at all-Ukrainian and international competitions, became a multiple prize-winner of national tournaments, and was part of the Ukrainian national team. At the 2015 world championship among cadets in Sarajevo, Andriy took 11th place.

After completing his studies at the lyceum, Andriy entered Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, where he obtained a master’s degree. He saw himself in coaching.
Andriy Yaremenko was mobilized in 2025 and served as an operator of unmanned systems as part of the 115th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces in the Zaporizhia region.

Farewell to Andrii Yaremenko took place in the St. Michael’s Cathedral in Zhytomyr. He was buried on the Alley of Glory of the Korbutiv city cemetery.
