In Dnipro, during a special operation, a 38-year-old man was detained who threatened law enforcement officers with a grenade, the National Police reported.

“On November 22, around 4:50 p.m., police officers stopped the driver of a VAZ car for violating traffic rules. During the conversation with law enforcement officers, the 38-year-old man behaved defiantly and aggressively, then took out a grenade and threatened to detonate it,” the department said.

It is known that after negotiations with law enforcement officers, the man handed over two grenades, after which he was detained.

On November 23, investigators informed the man of suspicion under 1 Art. 345 (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer) and ch. 1 Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
